R8 differential with a 3-year life span

After just 30.000km the differential of my R-8 broke, lots of noise on the Dutch Highway, and lots of laughs of fellow highway users at the ridiculous speed of 75km/h that I had to drive. Ever seen a Skoda with a complete Polish family zoom by an R-8 on the Highway? Should have been there...
Anyway, costs were € 7500,00 and no guarantee left. Audi used the 'coulance' clause to reimburse 75% of material, but still... costs remained € 2000, plus 2 weeks repairwork. After I picked it up the mechanic said, we couldn't polish that big crack in your windshield away (pointing at a 35cm crack in the front windshield). As I deliverd the car there without even the slightest damage, I'm not so happy about Audi Center Amsterdam.
Big question remains: How can a car like that get such a serious problem after just 3 years and a low milage ???

Ik ken de bewuste monteur en dit is maar één kant van het verhaal, bijzonder gekleurd.

Tja, ieders verhaal is gekleurd. Maar het is wel de R8-eigenaar's "waarheid".

Daarom ook leuk voor buitenstaander om beide verhalen te horen. En dan ligt voor de "neutrale toehoorder" de waarheid meestal ergens in het midden.

Ik kan zonder toestemming van ACA helaas niet op de zaak ingaan, helaas. Is ook niet mijn verantwoordelijkheid natuurlijk, maar het komt niet echt in het midden uit. Meer een gevalletje 'doen of je neus bloedt'.
