Ik maak er maar even een speciaal topic van, zodat er iig niet overheen gelezen wordt :idea:

Na de radio uit de auto te hebben gehad en weer aangesloten krijg ik deze melding op het display. Heb verder geen codes oid van de radio.

Is het de originele bij je auto geleverde radio?
Dan kan je bij je dealer een code opvragen.

Als je de code hebt dan volgende procedure volgen:

The following is the procedure to re-activate the radio if the display shows "SAFE". It is important that the procedure be followed in the correct order.

Turn on radio. The radio display shows "SAFE".
Press the SCAN and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until "1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000" to be the code.
Use Preset buttons 1 ... 4 to enter the four-digit code number from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit, Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of the button increments the number by 1.
Once the code shown on the display is correct, press the SCAN and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until the word "SAFE" appears in the display, then release the buttons.
The radio should unlock and be usable shortly afterwards.
If an incorrect code is entered, the word "SAFE" appears, first flashing and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the radio once more, the number of attempts will be shown in the display. If an incorrect code is entered again, you radio will be locked for about one hour. After one hour - the radio must stay on and the key must remain in the ignition lock - if the display goes out, the you can repeat the above procedure to unlock again. The cycle - two attempts, one hour lock-up - still applies.

Dank voor de uitleg John! echter......het probleem is inmiddels opgelost!

In een ander topic kun je lezen dat ik er een xcarlink op aan wilde sluiten en bij het plaatsen van de stekkers dacht ik dat er een paar niet nodig waren............wel dus :oops:

Daarna no problemo! (wel een beetje vreemd dat na het insteken van een stekker de code niet meer nodig is..........maar who cares!)

als de radio origineel in de auto zat, herkent de auto de unit weer, ook als deze helemaal los is geweest. unit is dan "op de auto geprogrammeerd" en dan heb je geen code nodig om te re-activeren.

als je een unit in een andere auto plaatst, dan heb je wel die code nodig. is een vorm van diefstalpreventie (maar bijna niemand weet dit van de VAG-units... en zal door handige crimi's ook best snel softwarematig te kraken zijn)

En toch krijgt mijn zoon dit sporadisch voor met z'n A3. Wagen is directiewagen van de dealer geweest.
Zonder er een externe oorzaak aan te kunnen koppelen springt de radio op SAFE bij het terug op contact zetten. Voor de rest blijkt alles normaal te zijn. Men heeft nog steeds de oorzaak niet kunnen achterhalen.
Lijkt mij dus geen alleenstaand geval te zijn.
